For months, when people ask if we have any of Kinkade’s original paintings, I’ve shaken my head and talked about Studio Proofs.  But, American Visions art consultants returned from a full-day seminar at Thom’s studio with the word that original art by Thomas Kinkade is available.  For several years, Thom has been keeping the originals of his limited edition releases, setting them aside for his children.  But there are pieces out there in private hands, and the Thomas Kinkade Company is helping Signature Galleries find paintings for their collectors. 

Many of these have not been published as limited editions – so no one else in the world would have a piece.  Others are the original painting of some of Thom’s best-known canvases.  “Christmas Memories,” a 20x24 original of a published piece, is $225,000.  “Clearing Skies,” an unpublished 24x36 original, is $80,000.  Two smaller, unpublished pieces, “A Moment Alone” and a still life, are $13,000 each. And there are others, including the recent “Returning Soldier,” priced at $55,000.
